Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake, in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, situated around 90 kilometres northwest of Nairobi. It is one of the few freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley and is renowned for its stunning beauty, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. Key features are; greenery and scenic landscapes. The lake is framed by acacia woodlands, papyrus swamps, and Birdlife hosting over 400 bird species, including fish eagles, pelicans, and flamingos. It’s a significant destination for migratory birds. Wildlife sanctuary, the region around the lake is geothermally active hot springs like Olkaria Geothermal Spa, flower farms, and cultural and historical sites like Hells Gate National Park.
